Who's on the East Kent Housing Board:

We have now recruited the new Board who will govern the ALMO and to do all the preparatory work required. This Board is made up of:

• a recruited tenant or leaseholder from each area
• a nominated councillor from each area
• four recruited independent people who are not tenants or councillors

The new board Members for East Kent Housing:

Tenant and leaseholders Members are:

1. Chris Tough from Dover
2. Kylie Gilham from Canterbury
3. Colin Reeves from Thanet
4. Lynne Sims from Shepway

Council Members are:

1. Cllr Michael Conolly from Dover
2. Cllr Jenny Samper from Canterbury
3. Cllr Michael Jarvis from Thanet
4. Cll Alan J Ewart-James from Shepway

Independent members are:

1. Helen Buller
2. Jane Iley
3. Steven Tucker
4. Alka Umaria

The chairman of the Board is independent member Helen Buller and the vice chairmen is tenant member Lynne Sims from Shepway.

What will being on the Board involve?

The Board will be responsible for making sure that the ALMO is doing the job it’s meant to do and to the right standards. The Board members will also make sure that the needs of local tenants are always considered.
