- Councils in Canterbury, Dover, Shepway and Thanet approved
plans to set up an “arms length management organisation” (ALMO) to
manage your council housing services at the end of 2010.
- The members of the Board for East Kent
Housing has been appointed
- The Board have chosen 'East Kent Housing' as the name after
entries were submitted in the 'name the ALMO competition' from
tenants, leaseholders and staff.
- East Kent Housing has now been formally registered as a company
in January 2011.
- The Council meetings listed in the dates
for the diary section will discuss the decision to proceed
with East Kent Housing and we are awaiting
the final decision from the TSA (Tenant Services
Authority) for East Kent Housing which is due shortly. The
TSA is appointed by the Government as an independent regulator
